✨🎧🌙
Like glimmering beacons lighting the path to a more techno-sensual way of life, these songs point optimistically toward a brighter future – one that exists on a timeline adjacent to our own where tenderness, relationships, and intimacy flourish as a result of technology rather than in spite of it.
💾🥀🎹
S. Work glides effortlessly through hyper-clean virtual environments textured sporadically with organic projections. The sonic world he architected feels familiar and alien, at-home yet displaced. Like menu music from a game system that only exists in a daydream (“Questionable” and “The Way”) or the intensely pleasant hum of hold music for a corporate phone line that’s been forever disconnected (“Intimate Connection” and “Take Off Your Clothes”).
🫸🌎🫷
Where much of contemporary digital DIY music’s aesthetics arise from a detached, self-aware pessimism about a society growing cold and distant as technology infiltrates every once-intimate (aka human) corner of life, Scott exudes a potent and sincere hopefulness that uncovers recently chartered, but seemingly forgotten, possible paths forward.
👾☁️💧
Pass slowly and deliberately through these vaporous soundscapes and breathe in deeply the refreshing atmosphere of a kinder, softer future; where our collective search for love both begins and ends.
